Legions of goblins work behind the scenes to ensure that Toby has whatever his heart desires, preparing him for the day when he will return to the Labyrinth and take his rightful place beside Jareth as the heir to the Goblin Kingdom. The Goblin King has kept a watchful eye on Toby: his minions secretly protecting the child. The plot takes place around fifteen years after the events of Labyrinth and centres around Toby, who by this time has grown up into a teenager. The fourth and final volume of the series was released on August 3, 2010. Originally planned as a three-part series, it was announced at the end of the second volume that the story would be expanded to four volumes. Volume II was released in October, 2007, and was while it was originally going to be subtitled Goblin Prince of the Labyrinth it was released solely under the Return to Labyrinth title. Return to Labyrinth is a four-part series starting with Volume I that was released in August 2006. The covers for all four volumes were drawn by Kouyu Shurei. Forbes created and wrote the series, and Chris Lie was responsible for the interior art. Return to Labyrinth is an original English language four-part manga sequel to the Jim Henson fantasy film, Labyrinth.
